Massena's career firefighters are New York State Certified Code Enforcement Officers, and/or Building Safety Inspectors. Career firefighters conduct annual fire inspections of all commercial businesses and places of public assembly within the Village and Town of Massena. Apartment inspections are also performed a minimum of every three years, and residential inspections can be performed upon request.
Fire Inspections are performed to help identify any potential fire hazards or other unsafe conditions. Fire Inspections help to provide safer working and living environments so employees, residents, and guests can feel protected.
