Enjoy 20 scenic acres on the St. Lawrence River that includes a wide, sandy beach; 3 covered picnic pavilions; picnic areas / grills; a handicap / wheelchair accessible waterfront; restrooms, changing rooms and a concession stand; softball field; volleyball court; 2 basketball hoops; playground equipment; and, a nature trail / shoreline with fishing access.

Covered Pavilions

An incredibly popular place for group gatherings, the Beach is home to three large (22' x 44') covered picnic pavilions. They feature picnic tables, over-sized cook grills, electric service and convenient access to parking, play areas, restrooms, nature trail, fishing access and the waterfront. As soon as you have your event date, contact the Recreation Commission at 315-769-3161 for information and to rent your pavilion. 


For area residents, there's no better place to spend a hot summer day than our sandy beach and cooling St. Lawrence River. Bring a picnic or enjoy refreshments from our concession stand. The waterfront is open with lifeguards on duty from 11:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. summer season. 11:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. in August.

  • Daily parking fees: UPDATE.....Parking at the Massena Town Beach will be FREE for the Summer of 2021 thanks to funding by the New York Power Authority.  Bus parking will remain at $50.
  • Beach Season Pass: $60 (Massena and Louisville residents only)
  • Non-Resident Season Pass: $90
