On May 15, 2015 I had the great pleasure of welcoming New York State Lieutenant Governor Kathy Hochul to Massena for a discussion with local leaders in government, business, utilities, education and healthcare.
In Albany, Lieutenant Governor Hochul is a strong advocate for local government and small communities. She brings a background of local experience that includes serving fourteen years as a councilmember in the Town of Hamburg; four years of service as the Erie County Clerk and one term as a member of the United States Congress.
The Lieutenant Governor has demonstrated the commitment that both she and Governor Cuomo share for improving upstate and northern New York, as proven with her attendance at the North Country Regional Economic Development Council meeting, her discussions with the local leaders here in Massena, and interest in touring Curran Renewable Energy.
I look forward to a strong working relationship with the Lieutenant Governor as we continue to address the many issues that Massena and the North Country face.
